Recently achieving a distinction in her Level 3 Senior Racing Groom qualification with Sheldrake Training, under the guidance of Racing Development Lead David Stratton, Molly’s success is a testament to her outstanding commitment and passion for racing.
A newcomer to the industry when she joined Kingsdown Stables in December 2021, Molly wasted no time making an impression. Throwing herself wholeheartedly into stable life, she quickly embraced both the horses and the demands of racing, learning every aspect of the job with enthusiasm and determination. Molly has thrived in her apprenticeship, supported by Sheldrake Training, and she particularly loved the independent learning our apprenticeship program provides.
Her exemplary attitude throughout her ongoing apprenticeship journey has stood out to everyone around her. Always eager to learn more, Molly volunteered to shadow the senior team, immersed herself in the yard’s veterinary work, and consistently went above and beyond in her role. It was no surprise when her dedication and ambition earned her promotion to assistant head groom.
Molly carries out every task to the highest possible standard and has earned huge respect from her colleagues across the yard. All staff at Kingsdown Stables agree they are incredibly lucky to have her as part of the team, and there is little doubt that Molly Roberts is destined for even greater things in the future.
