Level 1 Water Containment
A new flexible course that can be arranged to run in Southampton or Portsmouth to include standardised training and competency working in high-risk water contained environments. Training will touch on the installation of bolted tanks, which is a staple part of the water industry. This qualification will allow contractors and clients to lower their risk portfolio.
Creating A Recognised Industry Standard
Right now, training can be inconsistent across contractors and regions. A formal academic course will set a benchmark for competence and be aligned with bodies and certification like Energy & Utility Skills who teach similar fundamentals within clean water (EUSR Card) bringing consistency and certainty across the industry nationally. The installation of bolted tanks, while it has been a staple part of the water industry, has never been recognised as a trade or skill, even though the process itself is a high-risk activity. This qualification will allow contractors and clients to lower their risk portfolio.
Course Delivery
We at Sheldrake Training understand the difficulty placed upon the employer managing staff on a course of this duration so we have made this entry level 1 course as flexible as possible. We have teaching facilities in Southampton and Portsmouth, and we also offer off-site teaching where a member of our faculty will come to a premises of your choice with the required material and teaching equipment, if those premises are controlled and suitable for teaching (e.g. a site or company office), at 10 – 20 students per classroom. We can offer a flexible course structure tailored to you; this level 1 course is made up of 150 guided learning hours which each student will be expected to sit. These 150 GLH can be spread across day release of a selected weekday of your choosing totalling 25 days, comprised off 6 learning hour days with additional breaks.

Nation Water Hygiene Card + Additional Learning = £250.00 PP.
Future Courses
This course serves as a Level 1 entry qualification. We are currently developing a Level 2 qualification that will focus on more practical, hands-on roles, ultimately preparing learners for team leader positions. In addition, a Level 3 qualification is being designed to further enhance learners’ skills and knowledge, supporting progression into more senior roles such as management. Our aim is to support and guide students at every stage of their career journey.
