Level 2 Express Delivery Operative Apprenticeship
The Express Delivery Operative Apprenticeship standard is transferable for civilian roles such as postal worker, couriers and express delivery drivers who provide timed deliveries and collections to different locations.
What is this Standard?
The standard proves your skills and knowledge, demonstrating to potential employers your competencies in:
- Handling goods safely
- Route mapping and finding addresses
- How to use tracking equipment
- Courier policies and regulations
- Customer service skills
If you are aged 16-18 and don’t have the Functional Skills equivalent qualification, you will be expected to complete L1 and/or L2. If you are aged 19+ your employer will decide if they require you to complete functional skills.
What Will I Learn?
With this qualification you will complete four modules:
- Module 1 – Understanding Express Delivery
- Module 2 – Compliance and Regulations of Express Delivery
- Module 3 – Skills for Express Delivery
- Module 4 – Mind-set for working in Express Delivery

How Long Is The Course?
Course duration:
Express Delivery Operative Assessment
You will be able to complete some aspects of your programme online. On completion of the programme, training and functional skills, you will be assessed to gauge if you are ready for end point assessment.
An independent assessor will then assess you with a multiple-choice test, a simulation in the workplace and a professional discussion.
