IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals - Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3)
You will achieve a qualification that recognises your telecoms experience. It will prove you have the skills, knowledge and competence to be an IT or telecoms professional. Employers such as BT, Virgin and Sky all recognise this highly valued qualification.
You will complete the following units:
Communicating in the IT industry
IT Fault Diagnosis and Remedy
Operate Bowman Equipment
Manage Bowman Equipment
Principles of ICT Systems and Data Security
Health and Safety in ICT
Develop Own Effectiveness and Professionalism
Customer Care in ICT
Interpersonal and Written Communication
Working with ICT Hardware and Equipment
Technical Fault Diagnosis
Security of ICT Systems
Technical Advice and Guidance
Testing ICT Systems
Using and Managing Bowman Systems for Advanced Signalers
To gain the full advanced apprenticeship you will also complete the following:
Level 3 BTEC Technical Certificate
Level 2 Functional Skills in maths, English and ICT
How long is the course?
Minimum of one year to complete.
Most of the assessment will happen in your workplace, with the addition of some tests for Functional Skills (if required). You will complete a portfolio of evidence, under the guidance of an assessor, and your progress will be reviewed regularly and achievable targets set to ensure you complete the qualification on time.
